Lincoln Public Library upcoming youth activities
LINCOLN — Lincoln Public Library has announced upcoming activities:
Lego Club
Kids ages 3 and older can join the maker movement every other Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Public Library. The children’s program room will be open on March 2, 16 and 30 for kids who love to build, so come in and make what you like. Just bring your imagination, and the library will supply the Legos. Saturday Crafts
Young crafters ages 4 and older are invited to the Lincoln Public Library to create fun crafts every other Saturday at 11 a.m. On March 9, participants will be making twirling rainbows with pots of gold. On March 23, kids can get prepared for spring by creating cherry blossom trees using construction paper, tissue paper, and toilet paper rolls. Space is limited and online registration is required. Art Club for Kids
Feeling creative? Kids ages 8 and older can sign up monthly to make art projects to take home and to decorate the library. The next gathering is planned for March 6 at 6 p.m., to draw leprechauns to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. After completing sketches, add color to complete the little bearded men. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
with fun and games
This fun-filled, multi-media event for kids ages 6 and older will take place on March 12 at 6 p.m. The program will start off with a “Roll a Leprechaun” activity; allowing kids to add parts to their little guys as they roll dice. Next, watch a video that explains the simple steps in drawing a Celtic knot, and kids will then draw their own. Finally, participants will make a pot of gold slime.
