BVCHC Delta Dental Clinic now open in Central Falls
CENTRAL FALLS — The Delta Dental Clinic at Blackstone Valley Community Health Care (BVCHC) officially opened Monday during a ribbon-cutting event celebrating the dedication of Blackstone Valley Community Health Care’s Neighborhood Health Station to the Central Falls community. The state-of-the-art Dental Clinic, which provides critical oral health care to those in the Central Falls area, was established with a significant grant from the Delta Dental of Rhode Island Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation over the last four years.
U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, also with U.S. Rep. David Cicilline and Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, attended the ribbon-cutting event.
“We are proud to continue our long-standing tradition of supporting organizations that are building oral health care infrastructure across the state,” said Delta Dental of Rhode Island Chief Sales Officer & Vice President of Business Relations Joseph R. Perroni, who will take the helm as the company’s president and CEO on July 2. “We know that a person’s oral health is critical to their overall well-being. It’s our pleasure to support the expansion of health services, including dental care, to the most vulnerable members of the Central Falls community.”
The Delta Dental Clinic at BVCHC provides examinations and screenings, digital X-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, oral hygiene instruction, sealants, restorations, extractions, root canals, oral surgery and emergency dental services.
“This new Delta Dental Clinic marks the first time Blackstone has offered dental services in Central Falls,” said Raymond Lavoie, executive director of Blackstone Valley Community Health Care. “Dental services are most welcomed in the community, and we appreciate Delta Dental of Rhode Island’s support in making the dental clinic a reality.”
The Neighborhood Health Station is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call (401) 722-0081 for more information.
