1970 Jim King paced Mount St. Charles’ 12-hit attack with four hits in four at bats and five RBI in a 14-1 romp over Lincoln in a non-league affair at the Lions’ den. King belted a two-run homer over the left field fence in the seventh inning and had run-scoring singles in the first, third and sixth frames, while John Kun and Fran Garlick combined to limit Lincoln to five hits. The Lions tallied their lone run on a walk to Moe Omar, a single by Bob Annon and a double by Rich Elderkin.

1980 Junior southpaw Dave Kwasny notched the first win of his schoolboy career with a rocky eight-hit, fourrun, three-strikeout, eight-walk performance as Tolman defeated Central Falls 9-4 in a Suburban Division II encounter. John Gagnon, Jeff Dwyer (two RBI) and Dusty Kinch collected two hits apiece and Tiger coach Tom Humphrey’s players also managed four steals and took advantage of six Warrior errors. Phil Agrela and Al Cardoza cracked two hits each for CF coach Mike Goodson.

1990 Tom Humphrey’s go-ahead home run in the top of the seventh inning, followed by Keith Robitaille’s run-scoring triple, lifted Lincoln to a 7-6 win over Central in Blackstone Valley Division action. In other B. V. tilts, Saint Raphael Academy’s senior lefty Mike Costa retired the first 14 batters he faced en route to a complete-game three-hitter as the Saints pasted Classical 8-2. Central Falls rallied for an 8-5 triumph over Mount St. Charles highlighted by a four-run second inning outburst led by Jason Raymond’s two-run double and RBI singles by Chuck Humphries and Alex Velasquez.
