Eric A. Poirier

Eric A. Poirier, 33, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was the husband of Marissa L. Poirier, and father of Jordan and Zachary Poirier.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Roland and Elaine (Gaulin) of Burrillville. Eric resided in Burrillville for the past 24 years, previously residing in Woonsocket.

He was a graduate of Burrillville High School Class of 2007.

Eric enjoyed fixing cars and taking care of his children. He was an avid hockey fan especially of the Boston Bruins, above all Eric was a family man that loved his children.

He was a BMW Master Technician, employed at BMW of Warwick for 7 years, and most recently employed by Tesla Inc., of Warwick as a senior Tesla technician for the past 3 years. Eric took pride in his work and was always a reliable and dependable employee. He was loved and respected by all of his co-workers.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his two children: Jordan and Zachary Poirier both at home in Burrillville. His brother Jeffrey P. Poirier and his wife Alissa of Moosup, CT. His maternal grandmother Leola Gaulin of Woonsocket, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late: Rosaire Gaulin, and Armand and Rita Poirier.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Eric’s Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5 PM to 8 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, and continuing on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11 AM in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery Chapel, 310 Wrentham Road Bellingham, MA.
