Women's Day
Women in Rotary is hosting an International Women's Day event Sunday at the Rotary San Jose Summit Center,
88 S. Fourth St. “Break the Bias” will celebrate women's achievement in leadership roles with guest speakers Aparna Bawa, COO of Zoom Video Communications, and Ahmad Thomas, CEO of Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

Title IX webinar
On the 50th anniversary of Title IX's adoption, the Santa Clara County American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting a March 19 webinar about its evolution over the years and how it affects other areas besides school sports. Title IX was intended to address sexbased discrimination in education, including equal access to financial assistance and STEM-based programs.
Panelists for the webinar include Danielle Slaton, Olympic medalist and Earthquake television analyst, and Dr. Akhila CarterFrancique, SJSU associate professor of African-American Studies and executive director of the Institute for the Study of Sports, Society and Social Change.
