SJ Jazz funds artists
Organization grants $1,000 to 27 Bay Area musicians.

San Jose Jazz has awarded $1,000 to 27 Bay Area musicians through its SJZ Jazz Aid Fund 2022. San Jose grantees include vocalist Ren Geisick, blues guitarist Chris “Kid” Anderson and drummer Sylvia Cuenca.
Nine of the grantees will premiere new commissions live at the second SJZ New Works Fest in downtown San Jose April 22 -May 8. All nine will receive an additional $1,500 performance fee.
Artists were selected through recommendations across the Bay Area music community, including media critics, arts presenters, artists and curators.
