25-year-old man who was city's 7th homicide victim of the year identified
SAN JOSE >> Authorities identified the man killed in a Willow Glen shooting two weeks ago, marking the city's seventh homicide police have investigated this year.
Cristian Murillo Ramirez, 25, was shot about 4:30 a.m. April 9 in the area of Meridian Way and Pedro Street in Willow Glen, said San Jose police. Murillo Ramirez was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police are investigating the motive and circumstances of the shooting. The suspect has not yet been identified and remains at large, the department said.
The death marked the city's seventh homicide of '22, a total that rose to eight Saturday after a man was shot on Pfeifle Avenue and taken to a hospital before police arrived. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.
