Nick Adams Photography captures milestone moments in images and videos
With more than 25 years of experience behind the camera lens, Nick Adams knows the right angles, right lighting and precise moments that capture the true essence of a wedding or a milestone event. Top photographers on the islands and in Southwest Florida, Adams and his team at Nick Adams Photography have earned a reputation for professionalism and quality. “The years of experience, I think, make a big difference between photographers,” Adams says. “It's easy to be a good photographer under good circumstances, but only an experienced photographer will know what to do in adverse situations.”
A key to success in wedding photography is original thinking, finding the angles that best portray a couple or family's personality. This is what Adams enjoys the most. “I really like the creativity of wedding photography,” he says. “Seeing the couple happy on their wedding—and even after when they get the photos—is the most rewarding part.”
Adams's career began in London. That was 1993. While working on cruise ships, he met Lori, who was vacationing from Delaware, Ohio. The couple moved to England, where they married and set up Nick Adams Photography. In 1998, the family and business moved to Southwest Florida.
Adams has expanded into videography. His studio on Sanibel is a place for all the behind-the-scenes work—editing, framing and post-wedding production—but also photo shoots. “Everything happens in-house,” Adam says. “Over the years we were able to develop a fully functioning workshop here.”
