Tak­ing as its theme “The Art of Style,” the Wash­ing­ton Win­ter Show, Wash­ing­ton An­tiques Show opened with its an­nual pre­view night at Amer­i­can Univer­sity’s Katzen Arts Cen­ter. Guests en­joyed cock­tails and el­e­gant nib­bles by Su­san Gage Cater­ers as they took in the North Amer­i­can pre­miere of the ex­hi­bi­tion “Coco Chanel: A New Por­trait by Mar­ion Pike.” Over the course of the week­end, the show fea­tured a pri­vate lun­cheon with fash­ion de­signer Lela Rose, who dis­cussed KHU ERRNbPret-a-Party: Great Ideas for Good Times and Cre­ative En­ter­tain­ing, and a panel dis­cus­sion with noted de­sign ex­perts Darryl Carter, Barry Dixon, Tori Mel­lott, and Maria Crosby Pol­lard.
