ON NEW ADVANCES
We have some very cool technologically advanced programs here in Santa Fe. This includes stereotactic body radiation therapy – a type of “radiosurgery” that can cure lung cancer and treat other tumors in as few as three treatments, with minimal side effects. Also, we have a program using deep inspiration breath hold for left-sided breast cancer patients. This even further minimizes the radiation dose to normal tissues within the chest, such as heart and lung.
