Coping with friendship changes

Sometimes you may feel neglected, whereas the friend feels completely satisfied with their efforts and is oblivious to how their actions (or lack thereof) are affecting the other person. The discrepanc­y isn’t necessaril­y anyone’s fault. Oftentimes people offer and provide support in the form in which they would prefer to receive it, which isn’t always universal. If you don’t feel supported by someone, and it is hurting you, there are two options:

Tell them you need them to be there for you more these days and explain how they can make such an effort

Let it go

Recognize their hurt

Just because they don’t reach out doesn’t mean they don’t care. They probably feel lost and don’t know what to do next. This doesn’t make your feelings any less justifiabl­e, nor does it excuse their actions – this might just
