Patient navigator

Patient navigators advocate for you and serve as a medically knowledgeable friend, committed to supporting you through your cancer journey.

They can:

• Help you and your family understand your illness and treatment plan

• Assess and identify any barriers to receiving recommended care

• Connect you to resources and supportive care staff and services

• Provide compassionate support to alleviate stress and anxiety

• Facilitate communication between you, your family and

healthcare providers

• Ensure your questions, concerns and clinical issues are successfully resolved

• Assist you in making informed decisions about your care through education

and coaching
