PALLIATIVE CARE
Palliative care, also called comfort care or supportive care, improves the quality of life of patients and their families by focusing on relief from pain, stress and other debilitating symptoms of treatment for a serious illness, according to the National Cancer Institute. Palliative care providers give patients and their family a voice in determining their treatment and care.
The palliative care team at Christus St. Vincent’s Holistic Health & Wellness includes Clinical Supervisor Janette Lee, Dr. Diane Portman, Susan Asher, LCSW, and Lauren Brown, Neil Morrison and Chandel Martinez, CNPs.
I will be your go-to person, answering questions about your care, supporting you during this challenging time and helping you navigate the healthcare system.
