Cowboy Poet Entertains CCHS

Catron Courier - - News - By Becky Bratten

Chris Isaacs, Cowboy Poet, entertained the Catron County Historical Society Members Saturday, June 22 at a Cowboy Symposium held at the Blum/Fischer Ranch. Isaacs kept his audience laughing with his poetry in the form of storytelling. His poetry/ stories related “experiences” of cattle, ranch hands, his father, work ethic, and even a tribute to a Native American who served in Vietnam. Prior to his presentation, members of CCHS dined on BBQ meats prepared by BBQ Chef Tom Sanford and Dutch oven dishes prepared by Bonnie Armstrong. Membership in CCHS is now well over 100.
