Eric & Quinn Quarrel!
THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’S Eric and Quinn didn’t relish having an argument over Pam, but we welcomed their tiff, knowing John McCook and Rena Sofer would bring strong portrayals to the fore. Indeed, Eric grew
gruff when Quinn lamented that she didn’t get to decorate their home or pick out furniture to suit her tastes. Only her portrait hanging over the
mantel represented her presence there, she explained.
“You want new furniture?” he scoffed. “It would be a damn sight easier than going out and picking new relatives.”
He went on to say that Quinn knew the family that came as part and parcel of being married to him. “It’s a tangle of people that shouldn’t get along at all, but we do, and I’m very proud of that,” he said. “I wanted you to be a part of that. I thought you were.” With her arms crossed defensively and rancor in her eyes, Quinn countered that he knew what he was getting into when he married her, too. “Did you think marriage was going to improve me? I thought it did but obviously not enough for you.”
Eric was taken aback, noting that he hadn’t seen this (darker) side of Quinn in a while. “This isn’t a side!” she insisted. “This is who I am. This is all of me. You’re so used to seeing me fight for you… ? I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to fight for me.”
It was feeling pretty dicey in the Forrester living room… and no martini was going to make it all better!
“The Supremes and I have a suggestion, Quinn: Stop. In the name of love.”
