Will Maxie Fall For Peter?

For a long while, GENERAL HOSPITAL’S Maxie felt nothing but hatred and distrust toward Peter. But now that her stance is softening, might she even be open to the possibility of falling for the hunk?

The In Depth Story: Back when no one knew who Peter was, he was the only person Maxie let get close to her and thus, the one who suppor ted her through the loss of her husband — his brother, Nathan. “As casual as it may have seemed on the surface, the tragedy that brought them together and the intensity of the emotion in the aftermath was such a strong bonding experience,” suggests Peter’s portrayer, Wes Ramsey. “I don’t think Peter had any idea that was going to happen, at all — nor Maxie. It came out of nowhere.

“That’s one of the interesting things about life,” he adds. “Some of the most incredible connections we make happen in a way that makes us think we never could have seen it coming.”

While the reveal of Peter’s true identity left Maxie reeling, she’s since put the bitterness and anger behind her and accepted him back into her life. Meanwhile, having familial connections has been a game changer for Faison’s son, and Maxie’s found an incredible confidant and friend. But might this turn into an actual romance? “There’s something there,” hedges Kirsten Storms, who plays Nathan’s widow. “I don’t know what’s in the future for them, but they’re making so much of how Peter feels about her. And I’ve spent a lot of the time Maxie’s not with Peter talking about him. So that has to mean something.”

And for the record, the fact that Peter is Nathan’s brother may actually work in his favor. “Before Maxie knew they were related, she told Nina there was something about him that reminded her of Nathan,” Storms adds. “She sees similarities in them. And that’s appealing to her.”

“The tragedy that brought them together… was such a strong bonding experience.”
