Ce­cil blows out Del. Tech in home opener

Reign­ing All-County Boys’ Bas­ket­ball Player of the Year Ja­cob Falko made his home de­but Tues­day as a mem­ber of the Ce­cil Col­lege men’s bas­ket­ball team.

The fresh­man point guard, who grad­u­ated last spring from Tri-State Chris­tian, fin­ished with 11 points, three re­bounds and two as­sists off the bench as the Sea­hawks de­feated vis­it­ing Delaware Tech­ni­cal C.C. 96-55 in non-con­fer­ence ac­tion at the Phys­i­cal Ed­u­ca­tion Build­ing.

Off the bench, Khalid Gates poured in a game-high 19 points to go along with six re­bounds and one steal and Dar­rell Jenk­ins added 10 points, four boards and one steal for Ce­cil (2-1), which re­ceived nine points from McKale Wil­liams, eight points each from Has­san Corbin and Carl Bradley (five re­bounds) and seven boards, six points, five as­sists and three steals and three Cor­nell Corbin.

The Sea­hawks, who re­turn to ac­tion Satur­day against Mon­roe as part of the Murph Shapiro Tour­na­ment at Mon­roe C.C., led 51-27 at half­time. blocks from
