Tigers place four on boys’ soc­cer All-Susky team

The Ris­ing Sun boys’ soc­cer team led the way with four play­ers on the first-team Susque­hanna Di­vi­sion team.

The Tigers were rep­re­sented by mid­field­ers Jack­son Sopa and Micah Thomas, as well as de­fend­ers Lo­gan Smith and Ben­nie Gilcher. Sopa and Smith are both se­niors, Thomas is a ju­nior and Gilcher earned first team as a sopho­more.

The other Ce­cil County rep­re­sen­ta­tive on the first team was Bo­hemia Manor ju­nior for­ward Bran­don Teix­i­dor, who scored the win­ning goal dur­ing the Ea­gles’ 2-1 play­off win over Kent County on Oct. 26.

Har­ford Tech tied Ris­ing Sun with four first-team play­ers.

The Tigers placed three more play­ers on the sec­ond team – Austin Ja­cob, Lin­ton Mercer and Hunter Rus­sell. North East also had a trio of play­ers cho­sen in se­niors Ryan Copen and Eric Gar­vey and sopho­more Luke Ham­mer.

Ju­nior Nick Ra­mano and sopho­more Ben Roberts rep­re­sented Per­ryville on sec­ond team. Har­ford Tech led the group with four more se­lec­tions.
