Carolyn Chris­tine Neil


Carolyn Chris­tine Neil, 59, of PA, passed away on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 2, 2018.

Born in Wilm­ing­ton, DE, on April 30, 1959, she was a daugh­ter of the late Ge­orge Thomas and Helen (Gu­towski) Draper and her mother who raised her, Judith Anne Draper. Carolyn at­tended Glas­gow High School and Hodg­son Vo-Tech, earn­ing her cer­tifi­cate as a Cer­ti­fied Nurs­ing As­sis­tant in 1978. She went to work for Cit­i­zens Bank, for­merly Mel­lon Bank on Main Street in Ne­wark as a loan of­fi­cer.

Carolyn held a spe­cial place in her heart for horses and was a for­mer horse co­or­di­na­tor for the Delaware Val­ley Point to Point. She en­joyed the out­doors, es­pe­cially gar­den­ing, boat­ing and the beach. In her spare time, she liked craft­ing and watch­ing sports. Carolyn’s fond­est mem­o­ries were made with her fam­ily at hol­i­days, pic­nics and gath­er­ings. She rel­ished in keep­ing ev­ery­one on their toes.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, Carolyn was pre­ceded in death by her sis­ter, Cyn­thia Draper. She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 40 years, David L. Neil; chil­dren: Sarah Anne Neil, Eric David Neil; broth­ers: Christo­pher T. Draper (Rhonda), Stephen Scott Draper, Richard L. Trin­cia, Carl F. Trin­cia (Linda), Brian Draper; many aunts, un­cles, nieces and neph­ews; and her long hair Chi­huahuas, Tiki and Dixie.

A vis­i­ta­tion for fam­ily and friends will be held from 9 a.m. un­til 10 a.m. on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7 at SpicerMul­likin Fu­neral Home, 121 West Park Place, Ne­wark, DE, where a fu­neral ser­vice will be­gin at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low in Kem­blesville U.M. Church Ceme­tery, 1772 New Lon­don Road, Kem­blesville, PA.
