YOGA

Lil Lack Yoga Chair Yoga Class

Chair yoga is prac­ticed seated on a chair or stand­ing us­ing the chair for sta­bil­ity and to aid with bal­ance. This is great class for any­one want­ing a gen­tle and safe prac­tice, and for those that are seated much of the day and look­ing for move­ment tech­niques that can be prac­tice through­out the work day. Qi Gong

Qi Gong is a won­der­ful al­ter­na­tive to reg­u­lar ex­er­cise and a gen­tle way to stay ac­tive. Prac­tic­ing Qi Gong is a safe way to strengthen the body, re­duce stress, im­prove sleep, lower blood pres­sure and im­prove bal­ance. This an­cient Chi­nese form of ex­er­cise links gen­tle move­ments, breath­ing ex­er­cises and med­i­ta­tion to cul­ti­vate, chan­nel and bal­ance vi­tal en­ergy to keep you healthy. PARKS & RECRE­ATION Fairy Gar­den (Re­cy­cled Ma­te­ri­als)

Has your lit­tle one ever won­dered what makes fairies so mag­i­cal? By the end of this class your lit­tle one will have a mini

fair y gar­den made of re­cy­cled ma­te­ri­als. We will be us­ing paint in this class so please make sure to wear clothes that can be ru­ined. Class will be held on Fri­days, start­ing Novem­ber 16th, from 11:15 am — 12 pm at the Ris­ing Sun Com­mu­nity Cen­ter. Cost for the 4 week ses­sion is $32.

High School Fut­sal League

Ce­cil County Parks and Recre­ation will be of­fer­ing High School Co-ed Fut­sal at the Ce­cil Arena. 5v5, min­i­mum of 8 play­ers and a max of 12 per ros­ter. Co-ed min­i­mum of 1 player from each gen­der must be play­ing at all times. Teams will be self coached. CCPR will sup­ply a ref. 100% non con­tact play. Games will be held on Fri­day nights dur­ing the reg­u­lar sea­son, and Fri­day and Satur­day nights dur­ing play­offs at the Ce­cil Arena. Please re­mem­ber this is a NO CLEAT fa­cil­ity. Games will start at 9 pm dur­ing the reg­u­lar sea­son. Regis­tra­tion fee is $35 per per­son. 8 week league. Games be­gin on Novem­ber 30th.

Kick­ball (Ch­e­sa­peake City E.S)

Ce­cil County Parks and Rec will be of­fer­ing Kick­ball for 6 weeks at Ch­e­sa­peake City El­e­men­tary School. Kick­ball will be held each Tues­day, from dis­missal to 4:30 pm. The fee is $32.00. Come out and en­joy the fun!!! Class will run from Novem­ber 13th — De­cem­ber 18th for chil­dren in grades 3-5. Chil­dren must be picked up no later than 4:30.

sports in the coun­try! Think ta­ble ten­nis meets tra­di­tional ten­nis, Pick­le­ball is an ac­tive sport that can be played by all ages. Drop In will be held at Per­ryville Mid­dle School from 6-8 pm ev­ery Mon­day as of Oc­to­ber 8th. Cost of the drop in is $5 per per­son. Bas­ket­ball Train­ing

Ce­cil County Parks and Recre­ation will of­fer bas­ket­ball train­ing at Cherry Hill Mid­dle School start­ing Satur­day, Novem­ber 10th. Train­ing will be held each Satur­day morn­ing from 10 am — 12 pm. Coach Robert Price will train ath­letes to de­velop healthy habits while train­ing both the mind and body. Focus will be put on con­sis­tent im­prove­ment of weak­nesses and devel­op­ment of skills in de­fen­sive tech­nique, ball han­dling, shoot­ing tech­nique, pass­ing, re­bound­ing, and more. Play­ers will learn to build a love for the game and de­velop a killer in­stinct through var­i­ous drills and sta­tions. Cost for the 5 week ses­sion is $50.

YMCA

YMCA Youth Bas­ket­ball Pro­gram

First come first ser ve only. Open spa­ces will fill up quickly. Play­ers are taught bas­ket­ball fun­da­men­tals and given the op­por­tu­nity to demon­strate their learned skills

in games. All play­ers are placed on teams within their ge­o­graphic school lo­ca­tion.

No phone-in reg­is­tra­tions are ac­cepted. For stu­dents 1st through 8th grades.

Teams prac­tice once a week in their com­mu­nity and play an eight-game schedule at the YMCA. Ev­ery player will re­ceive a New YMCA Bas­ket­ball Re­versible tank top.

New “Run with the Big Dawgs” sea­son end­ing tour­na­ment will be free for the older boys and girls di­vi­sions!!

BASE­BALL Six-week base­ball camp

St. Ge­orges Tech High and John Dick­in­son High are host­ing six-week base­ball camps be­gin­ning in Jan­uary. Ses­sions are on week­ends.

Head coach Jeff Rodgers (St. Ge­orges) and head coach Matt Robin­son and for­mer head coach John Nel­son (John Dick­in­son) will di­rect the pro­grams, re­spec­tively, in con­junc­tion with U.S. Base­ball Academy.

Classes are avail­able for play­ers in grades 1-12 and are lim­ited to seven play­ers per coach. Ses­sions are of­fered in ad­vanced hit­ting, pitch­ing, catch­ing, field­ing and baserun­ning. Space is lim­ited. Regis­tra­tion is now un­der way.
