MD, for 20 years. She en­joyed babysit­ting her grand­chil­dren, trav­el­ing, and spend­ing sum­mers at Re­hoboth Beach.

Mar­garet will be fondly re­mem­bered by her fam­ily and friends for her kind­ness, gen­eros­ity, and won­der­ful sense of hu­mor. She was the best thing that ever hap­pened to us!

A visi­ta­tion is sched­uled for Mon­day, Jan­uary 14, 2019, 11 a.m. un­til 12 Noon, at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Ris­ing Sun, MD, fol­lowed by a Mass of Chris­tian Burial be­gin­ning at 12 Noon. Fa­ther Jay Mc­Kee of Good Shep­herd Par­ish will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will be in West Not­ting­ham Ceme­tery, Col­ora, MD.

Ho­race Allen Gal­la­her, 81, of MD, passed away Thurs­day, Jan­uary 3, 2019. Born in Elk­ton on April 20, 1937, he was the son of the late George H. and Re­becca Thomp­son Gal­la­her.

Mr. Gal­la­her re­tired from the Ce­cil County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion af­ter 28 years of ser­vice. He pre­vi­ously worked for the Budd Com­pany, Ne­wark, DE, and Thiokol. Mr. Gal­la­her at­tended Head of Chris­tiana Pres­by­te­rian Church and was a life mem­ber of Singerly Fire Com­pany, where he was ac­tive with the Fire Po­lice. He en­joyed help­ing oth­ers, din­ing out, trav­el­ing and time with fam­ily and friends.

Sur­vivors in­clude his chil­dren, George A. Gal­la­her, Pasadena, MD, Elis­a­beth Gal­la­her and Joseph B. Gal­la­her, both of Elk­ton, MD; grand­chil­dren, Ni­cholas R. Gal­la­her (Veron­ica), Marisa RoseHe­lene Gal­la­her, Bethany Har­ring­ton-Miles (Whit­ney), Emily An­drews and Syd­ney An­drews and great-grand­son, Rory An­drews.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Gal­la­her was pre­ceded in death by his wife, He­len Marte­nis Gal­la­her and sis­ter, He­len G. King.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life will be held 1 p.m.–3 p.m., Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 9, 2019 at Singerly Fire Hall. Visi­ta­tion will be from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. Wed­nes­day evening at Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton St., Elk­ton, MD 21921 with me­mo­rial ser­vice at 7 p.m. Pri­vate In­ter­ment will be in Bethel Ceme­tery, Ch­e­sa­peake City, MD.
