Champ shoots 64, takes 4-stroke lead in Mis­sis­sippi

Cameron Champ shot an 8-un­der 64 on Satur­day to open a four-stroke lead in the San­der­son Farms Cham­pi­onship in Jack­son, Miss.

Champ has held at least a share of the lead all three days at Coun­try Club of Jack­son, open­ing with a 65 and shoot­ing a 70 on Fri­day. Av­er­ag­ing a field-best 306.7 yards off the tee, the 23-year-old PGA Tour rookie has hit 44 of 54 greens in reg­u­la­tion. On Satur­day, he hit 15 of 18 and had just 25 putts.


LPGA Tour: Nelly Korda shot a 3-un­der 69 to share the lead with Wei-Ling Hsu af­ter three rounds of the LPGA Tai­wan Cham­pi­onship. Play­ing in front of a home crowd, Hsu fin­ished with an even-72 af­ter shoot­ing 68 and 67 in the first two rounds.

PGA Tour Cham­pi­ons: Miguel An­gel Jimenez shot his sec­ond straight 4-un­der 68 to take the sec­on­dround lead in the PGA Tour Cham­pi­ons’ In­vesco QQQ Cham­pi­onship in Thou­sand Oaks, Calif. Sec­ond in the sea­son points stand­ings, Jimenez had a one-stroke lead in the sec­ond of the tour’s three play­off events.
