Betty M. Wiser, 95, of Ju­lian, died Thurs­day, Jan­uary 10, 2019, at Ju­niper Vil­lage at Brook­line, State Col­lege.

She was born Oc­to­ber 31, 1923, in Philips­burg, a daugh­ter of David W. and Jen­nie V. ( Bigelow) Reese. She was twice mar­ried, first to Harold P. Thomp­son on Au­gust 31, 1945. He died Oc­to­ber 31, 1964. She then was mar­ried to Ther­man W. Wiser on March 29, 1980. He died Oc­to­ber 18, 1996.

Sur­viv­ing are two daugh­ters, Kathryn Shilling and hus­band Randy, of Port Matilda, Frances Price, of Roar­ing Spring; a son, Robert Thomp­son and wife Michele, of Min­eral, Va.; 10 grand­chil­dren; 22 great- grand­chil­dren; six great- great­grand­chil­dren; three step- daugh­ters, Glo­ria Mc­Neal, of Port Matilda, Mar­sha Fisk, of State Col­lege, Joyce Ripka, of Belle­fonte; and a step­son Robert Wiser, of Port Matilda.

She was pre­ceded in death by four sis­ters and a brother.

Mrs. Wiser re­tired in 1980 from E. D. Frost Con­struc­tion, State Col­lege as a book­keeper fol­low­ing 16 years ser­vice. She was a sub­sti­tute teacher for schools in Vir­ginia and Mary­land.

She was a mem­ber of Port Matilda Lions Club, Half­moon Grange, Bald Ea­gle United Methodist Church and a for­mer mem­ber of Port Matilda Bap­tist Church. She was a 1941 grad­u­ate of Ty­rone High School.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 16, 2019, at 11: 00 a. m. at Port Matilda Bap­tist Church with Rev. Peter Dittman and Rev. Ryan Smith of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Port Matilda Ceme­tery. Friends will be re­ceived Tues­day from 6- 8 p. m. at Feller Memo­rial Home and on Wed­nes­day at the church from 10: 00 a. m. un­til the time of ser­vices.
