July 4th cel­e­bra­tion missed the mark

My hus­band and I at­tended the July Fourth cel­e­bra­tion at BB&T Sta­dium. The cel­e­bra­tion, which was ded­i­cated to rec­og­niz­ing the U.S. mil­i­tary, woe­fully missed the mark by fo­cus­ing on our mil­i­tary.

There is a very im­por­tant dis­tinc­tion be­tween mil­i­tary might and the free­doms we en­joy.

There was no men­tion of the real rea­son we cel­e­brate this day – Fourth of July com­mem­o­rates the Dec­la­ra­tion of In­de­pend-

That silly woman who tres­passed at the Statue of Lib­erty should be fined an amount equal to what it cost to “res­cue” her.
