Robert Wayne Clark, age 70, fought a bat­tle with ALS for over 5 years and passed away at his home in Wax­haw, on Thurs­day, July 5, 2018. He was born on Septem­ber 28, 1947 in Char­lotte, NC toWil­liam C. and Edna (Phifer) Beatrice. Robert was most com­monly known as “Rock” or “Bobby”. Rock grad­u­ated from East Meck­len­burg High School in 1965 and has lived in the Char­lotte area all of his life. Rock loved old westerns, land­scap­ing and spend­ing time in a rock­ing chair on their front porch.

Rock is sur­vived by his wife, Bev­erly, of 24 years, 4 chil­dren and 8 grand­chil­dren.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Rock’s Life and Faith will be held on Mon­day, July 9, 2018 at 1pm at Wed­ding­ton United Methodist Church, 13901 Prov­i­dence Road, Wed­ding­ton. Re­cep­tion will fol­low in Helms Hall at the church. On­line con­do­lences can be made at www. her­itage­cares. com
