C. Van Win­kle of Char­lotte, 75, passed away Thurs­day July 12, 2018.

A Memo­rial Ser­vice will be held at 11: 00 am on Tues­day July 17 at Prov­i­dence Pres­by­te­rian Church fol­lowed by a lun­cheon at Rain­tree Coun­try Club.

Jim is sur­vived by his wife Wenona, daugh­ter Lisa Fritschel, four grand­chil­dren, Ryan (Saji), Skyler (Car­rie), Thomas and Ni­cholas Fritschel, and 4 great grand­chil­dren, Lil­iah, Makaela, An­thony, and Alex. Two step daugh­ters, Re­nea (Brad) Hard­wick and Candy (Doug) Owens.

He was pre­ceded in death by his wife Bon­nie and their son James A. Van Win­kle.

Jim grew up in Dear­born MI and is sur­vived by his sis­ter and two brothers. As a young adult he served nine years ac­tive duty in the US Air Force fol­lowed by the Air Force Re­serves.

He was Pres­i­dent of Fon­taine Mod­i­fi­ca­tion un­til his re­tire­ment in 2008.

Jim was a pas­sion­ate golfer and a very ac­tive mem­ber in the Rain­tree Coun­try Club where he also served as Pres­i­dent of the Board. He is a mem­ber at the Prov­i­dence Pres­by­te­rian Church and served as Vice Pres­i­dent of the Stone Creek Ranch HOA.
