MOUNT ULLA - Don­ald Cur­tis Web­ster, Jr., born Septem­ber 24, 1946 passed away on July 3, 2018.

A dou­ble Mayflower de­scen­dent, a son of Maine. Raised a cit­i­zen of the world as an army brat with his twin sis­ter Ann Rea.

He served his coun­try dur­ing the Viet­nam War. A gifted ath­lete, avid reader, and bridge master. He worked in truck­ing and man­u­fac­tured MAN buses. He cre­ated Fleet Op­er­a­tions, a chem­i­cal tank clean­ing busi­ness with his part­ner who al­lowed him to re­tire early.

He and Betsy, his wife of 43 years raised flow­ers and lla­mas on their farm in Mount Ulla.

They en­joyed an ad­ven­tur­ous life of travel. Their fa­vorite coun­try was New Zealand where friends wel­comed them for many years and where they built a home. Don was a de­voted friend.

He gen­er­ously sup­ported hu­man­i­tar­ian pro­grams for veter­ans, the poor, an­i­mal wel­fare, ed­u­ca­tion and the ACLU.
