Carolyn Moon Sharpe of South­min­ster Re­tire­ment Com­mu­nity, Char­lotte, North Carolina, passed away peace­fully on Mon­day, June 25, 2018, af­ter a six year strug­gle with Alzheimer’s.

Carolyn was a grad­u­ate of the Univer­sity of North Carolina at Greens­boro, and a long time res­i­dent of Gra­ham, North Carolina where she raised her fam­ily and owned Moon’s Fash­ion Shop for more than fifty years. She was an ac­tive mem­ber of First United Methodist Church of Gra­ham. Carolyn was a loving wife and­mother, a busi­ness woman, pi­anist, and singer. She brought grace and mu­sic to ev­ery­one around her.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, John W. Sharpe. She is sur­vived by her two chil­dren, Jenny Sharpe of Char­lotte, North Carolina, and Tim Sharpe (Gid­get) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, her grand­chil­dren Rachel, Jac­que­lyn (Danny), Meghan (Creighton), Gar­rett, Madi­son, and great- grand­son Jack­son.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice to cel­e­brate Carolyn’s life will be held at 11 A. M. on Satur­day, July 7th, at McEwen Fu­neral HomePinevi­lle Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Char­lotte, NC 28210. A grave­side ser­vice for fam­ily will be held in Gra­ham, North Carolina. In lieu of cards and f low­ers, memo­ri­als may be made to your lo­cal Alzheimer’s As­so­ci­a­tion or Hospice Care Cen­ter.
