Jean Ann Bergman
Jean Ann McCue Currey Bergman, 71, passed peacefully at her home on Friday, July 6, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family.
Mrs. Bergman was born March 21, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late JimMcCue and Hazel Hyer McCue. After graduating from Marshall University, she began her career teaching high school economics in Kanawha County, WV. After four years of teaching, she became a full- time domestic engineer. She later moved to the Carolinas where she resumed teaching high school home economics until she retired in 2009. As a woman of many talents, Mrs. Bergman especially loved interior decorating including the renovation of older homes; loved planning for large family gatherings and was particularly passionate about hosting her Christmas Eve celebration. Most of all, she loved her children and many grandchildren.
Mrs. Bergman is survived by her Husband, James L. Bergman of Rock Hill; her children, Mat Currey (Denise) of Charleston, WV, Sarah Jackson (Bill) of Boone, NC, Elizabeth Edwards ( Tripp) of Salisbury, NC, Robert Bergman (Sara) of Fort Mill, SC, Christine Galusha of Kenna, WV, Eric Bergman (Courtney) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sarah Bergman of Huntsville, AL, Charles Bergman (Krista) of FortMill, SC and James A. Bergman (Leslie) of St. Paul, MN; and her 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lillie Edwards.
