MOORESVILLE - Richard “Dick” David Br­yar,

Sr, 80, of Mooresville, passed away on Sun­day, Au­gust 19, 2018.

He was born on June 2, 1938 in Home­wood, IL to the late Don­ald and El­iz­a­beth Blish Br­yar.

Dick was a vet­eran hav­ing served in the US Army and a mem­ber of St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Ray­monde “Ramy” Br­yar; brothers, Don­ald and John Br­yar; sis­ter, Mary Beth Vasquez and grand­son, Ryan Br­yar.

He is sur­vived by his chil­dren, Bob R. Br­yar (Pa­tri­cia), Richard D. Br­yar, Jr. (Carol), Ron­ald L. Br­yar (Cathy); sis­ters, Noreen Br­yar Galvin, Mar­i­lyn Al­varado; brother, Larry Br­yar (Mau­reen); grand­chil­dren, Randy, Michael, Shan­non, Kris­ten, Matthew, Amy, Beth Br­yar; honorary grand­son, Spencer Kings­ley; and five great grand­chil­dren.

A Memo­rial Ser­vice will be held on Satur­day, Au­gust 25, 2018 at 11: 00 AM at Saint Stephen Church, 17500 84th Ave. Tin­ley Park, IL.

A Memo­rial Ser­vice will be held on Satur­day, Septem­ber 1, 2018 at

11: 00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial will fol­low the ser­vice at Glenwood Memo­rial Park with full mil­i­tary hon­ors. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Fri­day, Au­gust 31, 2018 from 3: 30 - 6: 30 PM at Cavin- Cook Fu­neral Home, Mooresville, NC.
