Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cordell are proud and very pleased to an­nounce the mar­riage of their son, Bryan Hil­ton Cordell, to Re­bekah Kay Manci. They were mar­ried in Charleston, South Carolina, at Lown­des Grove Plan­ta­tion on Sun­day, April 29th. The wed­ding was held out­side at half past five on the banks of the Ash­ley River. The re­hearsal din­ner was given by Bryan’s par­ents at High Cot­ton restau­rant lo­cated in down­town Charleston. Bryan at­tended Pace Academy in At­lanta, Ge­or­gia, and grad­u­ated from Prov­i­dence Day School in Char­lotte. He sub­se­quently at­tended the Col­lege of Charleston, where he re­ceived a de­gree in po­lit­i­cal sci­ence. Bryan is presently the Ex­ec­u­tive Direc­tor of the Sus­tain­abil­ity In­sti­tute in Charleston. Bryan’s grand­par­ents were Edgar Adolf (Dolf) and Ivy Crosland Wohlford and Vance Hil­ton and Beu­lah McNeill Cordell of Char­lotte. Both sets of grand­par­ents are de­ceased. Re­bekah is the daugh­ter of Amy Fran­cis of Lex­ing­ton, Ken­tucky, and Sa­muel Manci of Wi­mauma, Florida; and the step­daugh­ter of Linda Me­cum Manci of Wi­mauma, Florida. She is the grand­daugh­ter of the late Arthur W. Fran­cis, Sr. and Ruth MacKay Fran­cis of Lex­ing­ton, Ken­tucky. She is also the grand­daugh­ter of Mary Jones Manci and the late Sam J. Manci of Hen­der­son, Ken­tucky. Re­bekah grad­u­ated from the Univer­sity of Ken­tucky with a de­gree in ac­count­ing and is a CPA in Charleston, South Carolina. Re­bekah was given in mar­riage by her fa­ther, and Bryan’s best man was his fa­ther. Re­bekah de­signed the in­vi­ta­tions for the wed­ding as well as the pro­grams, which were fans that were placed in the seats for all at­ten­dees. Re­bekah’s fa­ther, who printed ma­te­ri­als for the wed­ding. Lewis Manci, Re­bekah’s nephew and the ring bearer, al­most stole the show at both the wed­ding and re­cep­tion. He moon­walked down the aisle and later demon­strated his break dancing to an ap­pre­cia­tive au­di­ence at the re­cep­tion. Re­bekah’s nieces, Rea­gan Manci and Ri­ley Manci, were pre­cious flower girls. Their long white dresses were trimmed at the which Re­bekah also used for her bride­maids’ dresses. The happy cou­ple went to Punta Cana, Do­mini­can Repub­lic for their hon­ey­moon and had a won­der­ful time. Both Bryan and Re­bekah said they had the per­fect wed­ding!
