CHAR­LOTTE — Lawrence “Larry” Pres­ti­mon­ico,

92, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, passed away Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 26th, 2018, at his home. He was born on July 4th, 1926, in Port Jervis, New York. He was the son of Mar­ion and Lil­lian An­driac Pres­ti­mon­ico (In­gras­sia).

Larry joined the Navy three days be­fore his 17th birth­day and proudly served our coun­try dur­ing World War II from July 1st, 1943 to April 1st, 1946. He was co- owner and vice-pres­i­dent of Drum Mfg. Co., for­merly of Mint Hill, NC from 1967 to 1988. He en­joyed many things in his life, in­clud­ing league bowl­ing, hunt­ing, fish­ing and spend­ing time at his house at Lake Nor­man. In Port Jervis, NY, he was a mem­ber of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Port Jervis Fire De­part­ment, the VFW Naval Ship # 7241 and The Loyal Or­der of Moose.

Larry is sur­vived by his daugh­ter, Pamela (Tommy) Pres­ti­mon­ico Sn­od­grass; son, Larry (Rita) Pres­ti­mon­ico; grand­chil­dren, Jes­sica Sn­od­grass, Lind­say (Richard) Pres­ti­mon­ico San­tini, Thomas Sn­od­grass, Zachary Per­domo and Doylin Per­domo; and five great- grand­chil­dren. He is also sur­vived by his neph­ews, Joseph Ogrod­nick, James Ogrod­nick, Michael Ogrod­nick, Ni­cholas Ogrod­nick and Ger­ald Rom­bousek; as well as his nieces, Linda Ogrod­nick Gil­more and Donna Rom­bousek. Larry was pre­de­ceased by his beloved grand­son, Larry Pres­ti­mon­ico Jr.; his sis­ters, Vir­ginia Rom­bousek, Rose Ogrod­nick; and his brother, Phillip In­gras­sia.

Friends are cor­dially in­vited to a visi­ta­tion from 1:00 un­til 2:00 p.m. Mon­day, Jan­uary 31, 2018, at McEwen Fu­neral Ser­viceMint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a fu­neral ser­vice to im­me­di­ately fol­low at 2:00 p.m. in the fu­neral home chapel.

A grave­side memo­rial ser­vice will be held at Saint Mary’s Ceme­tery in Port Jervis, New York, on a later pre- ad­vised date.
