E. Carolina Nos­wor­thy Wade “Cal­lie”

CHAR­LOTTE — E. Carolina “Cal­lie” Nor­swor­thy Wade, 90, of Char­lotte, North Carolina, passed away peace­fully Thurs­day af­ter­noon, the 17th of Jan­uary 2019 at the Lau­rels at Carolina Place in Pineville. She was born in Char­lotte, North Carolina, the 10th of Fe­bru­ary 1928 a daugh­ter of the late Selma Thompson Nor­swor­thy and T. W. Nor­swor­thy. “Cal­lie”, as she was af­fec­tion­ately known, was a grad­u­ate of Old Cen­tral High School and at­tended Carolina Busi­ness School. She re­tired from South­ern Of­fice Sup­ply, af­ter 27 years of ser­vice, which her and her hus­band be­gan and still fam­ily owned to­day. She was a for­mer mem­ber of St. An­drews Methodist Church. She is sur­vived by her two sons: Lance A. Wade and wife, Marie and D. Mark Wade and wife, Tammy; two grand­chil­dren: Cal­lie Mae Wade Mur­ray and hus­band, Corbin and Natalie Elaine Wade and her fi­ance’, Nicholas Bre­it­en­bach and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 64 years, Don­ald E. Wade. The Wade fam­ily will greet friends from 1: 30 PM un­til 2: 00 PM, Satur­day, the 26th of Jan­uary 2019 from the grave­side at Sharon Me­mo­rial Park. A ser­vice will fol­low at 2: 00 PM. The Wade fam­ily would like to thank the staff of Pineville Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion & Liv­ing Cen­ter and The Lau­rels at Carolina Place for the won­der­ful care and sup­port given to Carolina.
