Climb, bike, hike at Cravens House

- STAFF REPORT

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will team up with Outdoor Chattanooga for an event celebrating the National Park Service centennial. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11, visitors to Cravens House can climb, hike and mountain bike the slopes of Lookout Mountain.

Organizers say the day is a chance to see the iconic mountain in a new way: rock climbing on its cliffs, spinning along the trails on a mountain bike or learning about its history as you hike along its paths. Staff from both organizations will be on hand to provide information. A commemorative giveaway will be available while supplies last.

All events will stage with registration at Cravens House on Lookout Mountain (follow signs from Scenic Highway as you go up Lookout Mountain). Participants should bring a water bottle and wear weather-appropriate clothing.
