Easter weekend in Chattanoog­a offers spiritual and secular events for all ages. Whether Easter is symbolized to you by a cross, basket of eggs or a bunny, here’s a roundup of events starting today, March 29, through Easter Sunday, April 1, at which to celebrate.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE

› Where: National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave. › When: 7 a. m. Sunday › Admission: Free › For more informatio­n: 423-308-7715 For 41 years, the Salvation Army has celebrated Easter with its traditiona­l sunrise service beside the flagpole overlookin­g downtown Chattanoog­a. The public is invited to worship this Easter at 7:28 a. m. as the sun rises over the city. Music will be provided by the Jericho Brass Band; Salvation Army’s Maj. Robert Lyle will deliver the message.

THE LIVING LAST SUPPER

With regular zoo admission, guests will enjoy a golden egg hunt, animal enrichment activities, photos with costume characters and keeper chats. Ride on a carousel, train or camel for an additional cost. The Bunny Zone will be back with bounce houses, face painting, crafts, games, animals and more. Unlimited-activity wristbands for the Bunny Zone are $ 5 if purchased in advance online or at the zoo. The price increases to $6 for zoo members, $7 nonmembers at the gate.

HOP ABOARD THE BUNNY TRAIN

GREAT ADULT EGG HUNT AND HOPPY HOUR

Saturday › Admission: $7 › For more informatio­n: 423- 4138978 The Chattery is hosting its first Great Adult Egg Hunt and Hoppy Hour, where local artists will create one- ofa- kind works of art on wooden eggs and adults will search for the eggs on the Sculpture Field. Participan­ts are allowed to keep one egg, no matter how many they find. The hunt will wrap up at 4 p. m. followed by a restaurant hop along Main Street until 6 o’clock. The egg hunt wristband will give the wearer access to special deals. Participan­ts are encouraged to wear their Sunday best.

UKRAINIAN EGG PROGRAM
