Comedy champ Landry in town
Landry, winner of the 2011 Boston Comedy Festival and the 2012 World Series of Comedy, brings the laughs to the stage at The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., tonight through Sunday, Aug. 30-Sept. 2. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Landry first hit the stage in 2006. His charismatic style has been described as a hybrid of “Charlie Chaplin with somebody who spoke.”
He earned a spot on TVOne’s show, “Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?” in 2008, and he recently was an Atlanta finalist for NBC’s “Stand Up For Diversity Showcase.”
Landry has been heard on XM Satellite Radio and was the first winner of the Punchline Comedy Club’s 64 Comedian Super Comedy Competition.
Tickets are $10 for shows tonight or Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. shows either Friday or Saturday.
