Scenic City Cho­rale’s con­cert Sun­day

The Scenic City Cho­rale will present “The Many Sounds of Christ­mas” on Sun­day, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. in Brain­erd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brain­erd Road.

The free Christ­mas con­cert will in­clude a va­ri­ety of carols, tra­di­tional fa­vorites and two se­lec­tions from pop­u­lar movies.

The pro­ces­sional “Once in Royal David’s City” will be fol­lowed with “Lo, How A Rose E’er Bloom­ing” and a “Christ­mas Glory Med­ley” that in­cludes “And the Glory of the Lord” and “Glory to God” from Han­del’s Mes­siah, “Glo­ria” by Vi­valdi and “Glo­ria” by Mozart.

A Christ­mas med­ley by Ralph V. Wil­liams in­cludes “O Lit­tle Town of Beth­le­hem,” “Gloucestershire Was­sail” and the “Sus­sex Carol.” Also on the pro­gram will be “In the Bleak Mid­win­ter,” “Sil­ver Bells” and “The Christ­mas Waltz.”

An in­stru­men­tal ensem­ble will ac­com­pany the 65-voice Cho­rale.


Tra­di­tional and con­tem­po­rary hol­i­day mu­sic will be part of the Scenic City Cho­rale’s con­cert on Sun­day.
