Chattanooga film maker Morgan Capps’ first feature film, “Meow Wolf: Origin Story,” will make i ts Chattanooga debut tonight, Nov. 29, at 7: 30 p.m. in the AMC Chattanooga 18,5080 South Terrace, and the Regal Hamilton Place 8, 2000 Hamilton Place Blvd.

“Meow Wolf: Origin Story” is a documentary about the Sante Fe, New Mexico-based art collective Meow Wolf. The collective happens to be a favorite of George R.R. Martin, author and creator of “Game of Thrones,” who executive produced the film.

Begun by a group of like-minded friends who just enjoyed making art together, Meow Wolf grew by leaps and bounds, evolving into a multimillion- dollar cor- poration. It was a movement for creatives who felt l ocked out of t he traditional arts establishment. The art collective generated global attent i on for t he economic model it developed to pay artists more fairly for large- scale work.

But with such meteoric growth came new ideas and visions, which caused disagreements within the collective. This documentary follows the rise of Meow Wolf and asks viewers to decide t he difference in chaos and order.
