Rod Man, Karen Mills at The Comedy Catch

Rod Man, the Season 8 winner of “Last Comic Standing,” will take the stage at The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., to make you laugh with his laid-back style, Southern charm and ability to find the funny in everyday life.

Rod Man got his start at open-mic nights in Atlanta’s Uptown Comedy Club. Since then, he has appeared at Caesar’s Palace, The Gibson Amphitheat­er and The Apollo Theater. He is currently the host of his own YouTube shows “Time Out with Rod Man” and “That Good Funny.”

He has made appearance­s on HBO’s “The Bad Boys of Comedy,” Martin Lawrence’s “First Amendment” on Starz, Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” on MTV, “One Mic Stand” for BET and “The World Stands Up” for BBC America. He has also co-hosted a morning-drive show in Los Angeles.

Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. today, Aug. 15; 7:30 and 10 p.m. on Friday-Saturday, Aug. 16-17. Tickets are $25 for all shows.

Mills is a University of Tennessee at Chattanoog­a alum who has been a nationally touring comedian for 25 years. She is one of the Southern Fried Chicks comedy trio. She can be heard daily on Sirius/ XM comedy channels and recently released her new Dry Bar Comedy Special “Pink Pants.”

Tickets are $10 for Sunday’s performanc­e.
