‘When Harry Met Sally’ back in theaters for 30th anniversary

When Harry Burns met Sally Albright, George H.W. Bush was president and Taylor Swift hadn’t been born.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the rom-com classic film “When Harry Met Sally” is returning to theaters for two days, letting movie fans fall in love again with the undeniable chemistry between Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.

“When Harry Met Sally” will play 700 theaters nationwide on Sunday, Dec. 1, and Tuesday, Dec. 3, as part of the TCM

Big Screen Classics Series.

In the film, Harry and Sally meet on a long drive from New York to Chicago — during which Harry claims that women and men can never be “just friends.”

Over the years, Harry and Sally keep running into each other, claiming to have nothing more than a platonic friendship — until a climactic New Year’s Eve party that threatens (or promises) to upend their assumptions about each other and about love.

“When Harry Met Sally” will show in Regal Hamilton Place 8, 2000 Hamilton Place Blvd; AMC Chattanooga 18, 5080 South Terrace, and UEC Theatres 14, 137 Pleasant Grove Road, McDonald, Tennessee.
