Track’s End introduces new items to its menu
When you’re heading out to celebrate the season or start your holiday shopping, you might want to make it a point to stop in Track’s End for a bite to eat to help get in the spirit.
New General Manager Carrie Crawford has been heading up the restaurant since August. She brings with her nearly a decade of restaurant management experience.
“I’m really working to create a new atmosphere where we can make the food fast, but still with the same quality and taste that everyone has come to know and love,” she said. “Most of our food is homemade, and you get great portion sizes and just an overall really good meal.”
She shared that while she’s making sure to keep all the favorites — such as pot roast, Salisbury steak and Catfish Fridays — she’s also bringing in several new menu items to spice things up and give regular customers, as well as newbies, some great options packed with flavor.
“We have our chicken and waffles, a new featured item over the weekends. It comes with a drink and two chicken fingers and the waffle,” she said,

“Then there’s our new Reuben soup, which is a truly incredible cream-based soup with rye croutons and shredded Swiss cheese.”
Also on the warmer side to help battle winter’s chill is a chicken-and-rice soup, a big hit that is featured daily on the menu.
“All of our soups are made from scratch,” Crawford added, noting their fresh ingredients. “We also offer our fried green tomatoes as a wonderful meal or appetizer. They are hand-battered, fried and very thick. Five are served to an order, with ranch for dipping.”
Crawford pointed out the
Philly cheesesteak on the menu is being spiced up, served with hand-battered onion rings and bacon jam for dipping.
“The jam is a very unique taste and just a burst of different flavors. It can be requested on any dish if you like,” she said. “Our kitchen manager added it to a turkey sandwich one day, and it truly took it beyond just a turkey sandwich.”
Crawford said that she’s working on an effort to jar that jam in time for holiday gift-giving since it’s becoming loved by so many.
