SANTA CLAUS PUB CRAWL IS SATURDAY

- STAFF REPORT

Santa’s making a list and checking it twice — to make sure he doesn’t miss a stop on the Santa Claus Pub Crawl Saturday night in downtown and Southside neighborhoods.

Ten restaurants and bars are partnering for this year’s bar crawl that benefits the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Each will offer drink and food specials as well as a raffle.

Anyone wanting to join the fun just needs to wear festive Christmas clothes and bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation to the Salvation Army. There will be toy barrels to collect donations at each stop on the crawl.

Registration and crawl kickoff is from 3 to 6 p.m. at HiFi Clyde’s and Feed Co. Table and Tavern, both located on West Main Street diagonally across the street from each other.

Buses will run from the Southside to downtown from 6 to 8 p.m.

Last year’s crawlers donated more than 2,000 toys and over $5,000 to benefit the Salvation Army. Organizers are hoping to top those numbers this year.
