FAMILY SQUABBLES MAKE GOOD COMEDY
Tennessee Valley Theatre will present the comedy “Squabbles” in four performances over two weekends at the theater, 184 W. Jackson Ave. in Spring City, Tennessee. Shows are set for 7 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 1 and 8, and 2 p.m. on Sundays, Feb. 2 and 9.
A successful writer of advertising jingles is married to a successful lawyer, and living with the couple is her nottoo-happy father. Their situation is exacerbated when his mother’s house burns and she moves in with the couple. The play pits father-in-law against mother-in-law in a comedic succession of squabbles.
One hilarious confrontation after another leads to a heart-warming finale in which the in-laws discover that each is not as bad as they thought.
Caroline Powers directs “Squabbles” assisted by Tony McCuiston.
Tickets are $10. Call 423-365-PLAY for reservations or go online to http://tennesseevalleytheatre.com/.
