CAMPUS CONCERTS
Five free concerts are scheduled by vocal and instrumental ensembles at area colleges and universities in the coming week. Following is a list of when and where to find them.
FUZE TRIO

Fuze Trio is a cutting-edge chamber music ensemble featuring University of Tennessee at Chattanooga faculty Ronda Ford, flute; Erika Schafer, trumpet; and Jenny Parker, piano.
The group performs repertoire ranging from commissioned world premieres and other modern compositions to arrangements of traditional classical music and pop music, including arrangements by members of the trio.
The program will feature Bach arias, James Stephenson’s “Croatian Trio,” “The Mariko Suite” (a collection of Japanese haiku set to music) by Catherine McMichael, Debussy’s “The Girl with the Flaxen Hair,” an arrangement by trio member Parker of Kacey Musgraves “Rainbow” and Kermit the Frog’s famous “Rainbow Connection.”
LEE UNIVERSITY CHORALE AND CHORAL UNION

Lee’s Chorale and Choral Union will present a joint concert, “How Now Shall We Live?”
The performance is an exploration of music that deals with human responses to suffering, irrevocable loss and pain, according to Dr. Joshua Cheney, director of Choral Union and assistant professor of choral music.
The program will feature the music of composers William Byrd, Michael Haydn, Orlande de Lassus and Franz Schubert, along with the music of contemporary voices such as Richard Bjella, Moses Hogan, Z. Randall Stroope and Lee University’s Dr. John Wykoff.
The concert will also feature works by Ludwig van Beethoven in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
CHATTANOOGA STATE CONCERT CHOIR

The concert choir will present a Masterworks Concert featuring Franz Schubert’s Mass in G Major with performances by Chattanooga State students, faculty and local orchestra musicians.

LEE UNIVERSITY WIND ENSEMBLE

Lee University’s 52-member Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. David Holsinger, will perform music by well-known composers such as Dmitri Shostakovich, Vaclav Nelhybel and John Philip Sousa.
