The most “modern” ghosts can be found at the Chateau Marmont, the all-star hotel located above the Sunset Strip. That’s where’s it’s said that the afterlife party never ends, with the spirits of former guests such as comedian John Belushi, Doors singer Jim Morrison and Led Zeppelin drummer
John Bonham still hanging around. Belushi was 33 when he died of a drug overdose in a bungalow in 1982. Morrison and Bonham didn’t expire at the Marmont, but they could have: Bonham once rode a motorcycle through the hotel’s hallways and lobby. And Morrison, out of his mind on drugs, nearly died when he fell from the roof of his bungalow after dangling from a gutter.
