Re­turns. Here’s a look at the other stars who made the 1964 wlm a clas­sic.

Julie An­drews, 83, made her movie de­but as the singing nanny (for which she won an Os­car).

She went on to star in beloved fare, from The

Sound of Mu­sic in 1965 to The Princess Di­aries in 2001, and voiced Mar­lena Gru in the

De­spi­ca­ble Me wlms.

David Tom­lin­son por­trayed the lov­able but gruff Ge­orge Banks. He also starred in Dis­ney’s

The Love Bug (1968) and Bed­knobs and Broom­sticks (1971). He died in 2000 at age 83.

Gly­nis Johns had been act­ing on screen and stage for nearly 30 years when she played ma­tri­arch Win­nifred

Banks. Now 95, she last ap­peared in the 1999 com­edy Su­per­star.

Matthew Gar­ber was cast as young Michael Banks at age 7. He con­tracted hep­ati­tis dur­ing a trip to In­dia and died from com­pli­ca­tions in 1977 at age 21.

Karen Dotrice, 63, played head­strong child Jane Banks. She had a re­cur­ring part on the TV se­ries Up­stairs, Down­stairs (1975) be­fore re­tir­ing in 1984 to fo­cus on rais­ing her three chil­dren.

Hermione Bad­de­ley was Ellen, the Banks fam­ily’s maid. She went on to re­ceive a Golden Globe for her role as Mrs. Nau­gatuck on

TV’s Maude. She died in

1986 at age 79.

Ed Wynn got lots of laughs as ec­cen­tric Un­cle Al­bert. The noted ra­dio co­me­dian had a small role in the 1965 Dis­ney wlm That Darn Cat! and died in 1966 at 79.
