Waterchase Condos offer affordable downtown living

- BY ADELIA MOSLEY

Tucked away on a gentle hillside in the Battery Place area of downtown Chattanooga is Waterchase Condominiums. Just steps from the Riverwalk, UTC and the Bluffview Art District, it is one of downtown’s “hidden jewels,” according to Belinda Winslett, affi liate broker with Real Estate Partners Chattanooga.

With an ideal downtown location, an open loft-like design, dedicated parking for owners and guests, a swimming pool and a lush park-like setting, it is one of the best values in downtown living on the market today, Winslett said.

“The Riverwalk was a huge attraction for us,” said Paula Powell, a Waterchase condo owner. “It is literally in our backyard -- biking, walking the dog or going to dinner is so easy. It’s peaceful and private here with a real sense of community with only 18 units.”

Waterchase has recently undergone community improvements including a new roof and landscaping among other cosmetic improvements. In addition to two secured covered parking spots, owners and their guests also have a large private parking lot.

“With parking such a premium downtown, it is great to be able to invite friends over or entertain knowing that they do not have to scramble or pay for parking,” said Powell.

With two units available at $229,900 each, a penthouse unit with river views for $259,900 and association fees of $175 per month, Waterchase is one of downtown’s most affordable living opportunities.

Three select units are available for a tour Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

“Each available condominium is unique,” Winslett said. “There is a ground-flend unit with a patio and grassy yard steps away from the pool, another ground-floor condo located almost directly on the Riverwalk with beautiful marble floors and other upgrades, and a top-floor penthouse with river and mountain views that has been totally updated.”
