Chattanooga State receives check from Merrill Lynch

What: Representatives from Bank of America and Merrill Lynch presented a check for $10,000 to Chattanooga State Community College’s Workforce Development Certification Program in heavy equipment operation. The program provides workforce training to the unemployed and underemployed in Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama.

Benefits: The grant will allow Chattanooga State to provide scholarships for up to 10 trainees over a 12-month period. Those who complete training will receive a National Center for Construction Education and Research Heavy Equipment Operators certificate.
