A message for the ‘Endurers’

-

If you are a born-again believer, this article is for you.

Perhaps, like many believers, you are looking at events happening in our country and around the world and, like my 2-year-old granddaughter, asking “What the heck is going on?”

There are actually a lot of things going on that are totally contrary to what we believe according to God’s word. I want to encourage you to stay focused on God’s kingdom and his promises. He sees and he knows for sure. God has people on Earth whom I call the “endurers.” I also use the words “remnant” and “overcomers.” These are the saints who believe in God’s word and choose to obey his word at all costs. I can assure you that there will be a cost that we have not begun to encounter.

During prayer recently, I ran across Acts 14:22; the last portion of the Scripture says, “we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” We are living in times where telling the truth according to God’s word is unacceptable. I have heard of many who used to believe in the infallibility of the word, but now question what was divinely inspired. Not so for the endurers.

There is nothing that can change their hearts and minds toward the infallibility and authority of God’s word. Endurers are not surprised by what’s happening in the world because it is written throughout the Holy Scriptures.

For example, in Matthew 10:22, Jesus said, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

And in Matthew 24:3-14, it is written, “And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?’ And Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.’”

God’s word warns and prepares us for what is to come. My objective is to encourage you to stay focused, pray and obey God without compromise or adulteration. Hebrews 12 says, “Look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He endured the cross, despising the shame. Consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your mind.”

Stay focused my brothers and sisters in Christ. He loves you, and so do I.
