28 ways to woo your Valentine

If you’re still looking for Valentine’s inspiratio­n, check this list for places to celebrate, buy a gift or make a gift. Most are ways for couples to keep the spark alive, but you’ll also find three activities just for dads and their daughters.

› Couple’s massage workshop: 6-7 p.m. today, Feb. 11, at Studio 59 Aveda Salon & Spa, 2309 Hickory Valley Road.

Licensed massage therapist Meagan Verstrat will guide couples through massage and aromathera­py techniques that can be used to relax, comfort and heal each other. The $50 reservatio­n fee can be applied toward an hour massage or products. Reservatio­ns required: 423894-1175.

› La Paz Father/ Daughter Dance: 6- 8 p.m. today, Feb. 11, at The Camp House, 149 E. M.L. King Blvd.

La Paz is collaborat­ing with the J.A. Henry YMCA, The Camp House and The Mission: Chattanoog­a to offer this special event for fathers and daughters ages 3-12. Love is in the air — way up in the air — at The Barn Nursery, which is again offering the chance to display Valentine’s love notes on its digital billboard, which towers above the Fourth Avenue exit on I-24. Now in its second year, this Chattanoog­a Presents event is designed for fathers (or father figures) and their little princesses ( ages 3-17) to be royally entertaine­d. The evening

› Valentine’s Sunset Cruise aboard River Gorge Explorer: 2- 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, from Ross’s Landing.

The Tennessee Aquarium’s own “love boat” will take a romantic three-hour cruise into Tennessee River’s grand canyon, where a naturalist will point out wildlife and talk about their courtship rituals as passengers munch on compliment­ary appetizers ( a cash bar has wine, beer and soft drinks). The captains are ordained ministers for any couples who want to renew their vows or tie the knot. Aquarium members pay $34 for adults, $24 for children. Nonmembers pay $42 and $32.
